1. Who we are
Sitewise (sitewise.my) is an SEO analysis tool operated from Malaysia. Contact: hello@sitewise.my.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email, password (bcrypt-hashed), display name, sign-in timestamps.
- Usage data: URLs you submit for analysis, the analysis results, and a per-user credit transaction log.
- Technical data: IP address (used only for rate limits and abuse prevention), user agent, request times.
- Payment data (if you purchase): processed by Stripe — we never see your card number; we store the transaction reference, amount, and credits granted.
3. How we use it
- To run the analyses you request and store their results in your account.
- To bill credits and process payments via our payment provider.
- To detect abuse, prevent automated scraping, and enforce our terms.
- To send transactional email (signup welcome, password reset, receipts) — no marketing email without opt-in.
4. Cookies
We use a single first-party httpOnly cookie (sitewise_token) to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies are set by Sitewise itself. See our cookie notice banner for details.
5. Third parties
- MongoDB — your data is stored in a managed Mongo instance.
- Stripe — payment processing (when enabled).
- Resend — transactional email (when enabled).
- Anthropic — we send the extracted page text to Anthropic's API to generate ranked SEO recommendations. Anthropic does not train on this data under our API terms.
- Sentry — error tracking (no payloads, just stack traces and request paths) (when enabled).
6. Retention
We retain account data and analyses until you delete them or close your account. Credit transactions are retained for as long as the account exists for billing reconciliation.
7. Your rights
You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@sitewise.my.
8. Changes
We'll notify you in-app or by email of material changes to this policy.
